1. Who We Are
APEX Foundation is a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN 33-2187632) based in Reno, Nevada. We provide financial assistance and scholarships to families in Northern Nevada and the Reno-Tahoe region so young soccer players can participate in club and competitive soccer programs.
This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to renoapexfoundation.org. It does not apply to other websites we link to, including renoapex.com and PayPal, which have their own privacy policies.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the content of your message. We use this only to read and respond to your enquiry.
Donation information
Donations are processed by PayPal, not by this website. When you click a donate button you are taken to PayPal's own secure checkout. We never receive, see, or store your credit card, debit card, or bank account details. PayPal provides us with the information needed to acknowledge and record your gift, which typically includes your name, the donation amount and date, and the email address or mailing address associated with your payment.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server and security logs when you visit, which may include your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you viewed, and the date and time of your visit. These logs are used to keep the site running, diagnose problems, and protect against abuse and attacks.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your questions, applications, and requests;
- Process, acknowledge, and keep records of donations and sponsorships;
- Issue donation receipts and meet our tax, accounting, and reporting obligations as a 501(c)(3) organization;
- Administer financial assistance and scholarship decisions;
- Operate, secure, and improve this website.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Our Donor Privacy Promise
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share our donor list or your personal information with any other organization, business, or individual for their own use.
If you would prefer that we not publicly acknowledge your gift — in a program, on a sponsor board, on this website, or on social media — simply tell us, and we will honor that. You may request to give anonymously at any time.
5. Service Providers We Use
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate this site. They may process your information only to perform services for us:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, security, and bot protection.
- Supabase — processes the contact form submission.
- Brevo — delivers the contact form to our inbox as an email.
- PayPal — processes donations. Your payment details go directly to PayPal.
We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we do not permit these providers to use your information for their own marketing.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
This site does not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm you are a person rather than an automated bot. Turnstile may set a token in your browser for this purpose. It is used only for security and spam prevention.
If we add website analytics in the future, we will update this policy to say so.
7. Children's Privacy
Although our mission serves young athletes, this website is intended for use by adults — parents, guardians, donors, sponsors, and partner organizations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website.
Applications for financial assistance that involve a player's information are handled directly with a parent or legal guardian, not collected through this site. If you believe a child has provided us personal information through this website, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. How We Protect Information
This site is served entirely over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and form submissions are transmitted securely. We limit access to personal and donor information to the Foundation board members and volunteers who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. How Long We Keep Information
We keep contact form messages only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your enquiry. We keep donation and sponsorship records for as long as required by IRS and Nevada recordkeeping rules applicable to 501(c)(3) organizations, and for our own historical and reporting purposes.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You may contact us at any time to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- Ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
- Ask us to stop contacting you, or to remove you from any mailing list;
- Request that your donation be treated as anonymous.
Nevada residents: Nevada law gives residents the right to direct a website operator not to sell certain personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we have no plans to do so. You may still submit a request using the contact details below.
11. Links to Other Websites
This site links to other websites, including renoapex.com, PayPal, and our social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here, so please check back periodically.
